Dr. McManus was born and raised here in the Quad Cities. She grew up in Taylor Ridge and after graduating from Rockridge High School, she started her college education at Black Hawk College. Dr. McManus continued onto Western Illinois University, where she graduated, summa cum laude, with her Bachelor of Science degree. After working for several years, Dr. McManus decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry and graduated first in her dental class. Dr. McManus went on to complete her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Iowa and during her residency, she had several research articles published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In 2011, Dr. McManus earned the distinction of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition to being Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. McManus is dedicated to continuing her education through seminars, courses and professional organizations. She is currently active in the Rock Island District Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and The American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. McManus has been practicing orthodontics since 2010 and is proud to be starting her own office in February 2017. Dr. McManus and her husband, Mike, are excited to have the opportunity to be involved in the community that they both grew up in and love so much.
